Over the summer, we had activities including Sports Clinic, an Easter Sunday party and other special events for the kids.
Although summer fun had ended with school back in session, we resumed our school-year fun! Our tutorial program After School Program (ASP) in Tondo, Manila came back into session.
We host ASP every Sunday morning after the daily feeding program.
Feed the tummies first, feed the minds follows.
ASP aims to assist our students with their school lessons. Volunteers are usually divided per grade level and tutors their group for an hour.
Our lessons are currently focusing on math.
The kids had a review of their past lessons and then proceeded with the first lesson in their current school grade. We have books per grade level that our volunteer-teachers use as their reference of teaching.
Our scholars attentively listen to their volunteer-teachers is such a great view; Their diligence truly shows.
This is also a reminder that Project Pearls’ mission is on the right track. We will always believe that education is the best tool to get out of poverty.
