In celebration of Library and Information Services Month, the National Library of the Philippines in partnership with the Asia Foundation, visited our Bulacan community and brought they joy of storytelling and read-aloud to children and youth!
Our Time-to-Learn and Elementary scholars participated in storytelling, read-aloud sessions with “Let’s Read”, and a puppet show with NLP’s favorite characters. Towards the end of the activity our scholars recalled the activities for the whole day.
This event raised awareness on the importance of early childhood exposure to reading as a stepping stone to promote literacy. We at Project PEARLS advocate for community libraries and spaces that promote reading. We believe that a livable and thriving community will only be attainable if education is accessible to all!
Huge thanks to NLP for this continued partnership!
