It’s already a blessed Christmas season for 500 young scholars after Julia Barretto gave them a visit and spent a fun-filled morning with them that was replete with gift-giving and exciting games.
Julia Barretto on holding a charity event with Project Pearls Learning Center: “This is my first on-ground event. But I had been a silent supporter. I learned and had been following them since the pandemic. The impact and work they do is amazing. I feel so blessed to be part of it.”
The charity event, which was in collaboration with Project Pearls Learning Center, took place in Bocaue, Bulacan last Monday, December 23. It was also sponsored by the following: Pond’s, Palmolive, Unilab, Enervon Z Plus, Pina Whitening Soap, Lander’s Superstore, Pick-Up Coffee, Jollibee, Penshoppe, Ms. Dani Barretto & Wellness Whispers, Wingzone, and Yogorino.
“This is my first on-ground event. But I had been a silent supporter. I learned and had been following them since the pandemic. The impact and work they do is amazing. I feel so blessed to be part of it,” the actress told members of the press after the charity event.
Julia further said that bonding with the 500 young scholars served as a refresh after going back to her busy schedule of promoting her latest film, the 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry Hold Me Close.
“It is my way of giving back. I have been so blessed and I am just too grateful,” she said. “I really love children. This is such a blessing.”
Hold Me Close, which Julia will star in alongside Carlo Aquino, is Viva Films’ entry for the MMFF. It is set to premiere in cinemas this coming Christmas Day, December 25.
