Danielajoy Bajen, ASP Mentor from Bulacan, reflects on her journey as a mentor:
“During my first day, I was nervous and struggled since patience isn’t my strong suit, and I didn’t know how to handle or teach young children. I wasn’t sure where to begin, but when I saw their eagerness to learn, I started enjoying it. I began by asking their age and grade level to understand what to teach them. Over the months, I realized that not all kids can read in English and Filipino, and some also struggle with Math. As they learn, I’m learning to be more patient, seeing their determination to learn despite the challenges.”
