The reality of many children in Helping Land, Tondo, going to bed hungry and waking up with empty stomachs is a heart-wrenching one. To address this, our Hope Center opens early in the morning to serve nutritious and filling meals to those in need.
Thanks to the support of our hero, International Youth Cooperation (IYC – Japan) and Seido & Yoshida volunteers, we were able to provide around 500 children and elderly with a nutritious meal consisting of rice, chicken afritada, fried Century Tuna balls, and watermelon. The kids were also delighted to receive Jollibee burgers sponsored by our advocates from UBC Kababayan! Thank you, UBC Kababayan, for your support!
We are incredibly grateful to Century Pacific Food Inc. for their donation of canned goods, MAYANI and SOS Philippines for the veggies we distributed to the families, and OpenText for their contribution of kid’s vitamins.With the help of our heroes, we can make a difference and ensure that no child has to go through hunger. For just Php 50 (less than $1), you can provide a nutritious meal of rice, protein, vegetables, and fruits for a child. This meal could be the only healthy and complete meal they receive for the day.
