Awarding of Scholars in Batia, Bulacan

Happy Scholarship Day!
We in Project Pearls strongly believe that Education is the most powerful tool to break the cycle of poverty. We know that poorest of the poor families could not afford to send their children to school and because of this, their future may possibly won’t change for the better. And by giving the gift of free education for these children is one of the best ways for them to have a different and better life in the future.
School days are about to start and we are so proud to give the scholars’ certificates and school supplies to our 300 PEARLS kids living in Barangay Batia, Bocaue, Bulacan.
Feeding activity was the first part of our “Scholarship Day”.
Thank you, Mister Julius “Jay” Alba for sponsoring the food for the children and even for bringing slippers for them.
Aside from sponsoring, Kuya Jay together with his family volunteered for this day’s special event. They helped in feeding the kids and giving them the school supplies and certificates.
He also gave a very inspirational message for our PEARLS Scholars. For his birthday that he chose to spend with the kids, he wished them well. He hopes that kids would reach their dreams and may they finish their studies with flying colors. Happy birthday, Kuya Jay! God bless you and we hope that you won’t get tired sharing love for the kids.
After the feeding was the distribution of Scholars’ certificates. Kids were lined up according to their grade level and at least two volunteers handled each level.
The next part was the per batch picture. We have scholars starting from nursery up to college level.
Giving of bags that contain school supplies like notebooks, pencils, ball pens and uniforms was then followed. Slippers brought by Mister Julius Alba were also given to the kids before they exit the ground.
This special event would not be possible if not because of our sponsors and donors.
