Meet Sonny Boy, PEARLS Scholar. We first met him in Ulingan almost 5 years ago – always covered in soot, barefooted, hungry and yet always sweet and cheerful.
Sonny Boy is now Grade 3 and looking like a fine young man. Being in school gives him confidence, structure, aspirations and reality that one day soon, he and his family can get out of poverty.
