Mary Grace Mejido, 37, and her son, 7, go to the feedings in the courtyard in Helping Land to acquire complete breakfast meals that they save until lunch. For dinner and other daily needs, they use her husband’s earnings from scavenging. She also said that she is grateful for the milk Karl and his sibling receive twice a month from Project PEARLS.
In today’s Hunger Relief program, sponsored by ADM, our community in Tondo, Mary Grace and her community received hearty bowls of sautéed mung beans with pork and squash, fried dumplings, rice, and watermelon. In Batia, Bulacan, 600 healthy meals of string beans adobo with tofu, hard-boiled eggs, rice, and apples were served. While in Naic Cavite, community volunteers distributed chicken in tomato soup, rice, and watermelon.
We thank our consistent partner, ADM, for their unwavering service and commitment to improving the lives of families and children in our communities.
