The effects of lockdowns, job losses, and economic disruptions have disproportionately affected extremely poor and underprivileged communities. In our community in Tondo, Cavite, and Bulacan, a lot of families only depend on their daily earnings. However, due to the pandemic, they are having a hard time providing for their basic needs. This Lunar New Year, our sponsor, Majorel, made sure to extend help to these families by sponsoring 1,500 breakfast meals.
Our community team in Helping Land, Tondo prepared and served healthy morning meals of veggie pansit, rice, fried egg rolls, and watermelon. While in Batia, Bulacan, nutritious breakfast meals of sauteed cabbage in tomato sauce topped with tofu, rice, boiled eggs, and bananas fulfilled the day of everyone who lined up in our Learning Center. Pots of sauteed chayote with pork, rice, and trays of bananas were given out by our community volunteers to families in our community in Naic, Cavite.
This Hunger Relief was possible because of the generosity and kindness of Majorel. Thank you for your continuous support in our mission of feeding the hungriest during these difficult times.
