“This is Jerick, a young boy I met in the slums of Ulingan, Tondo, Manila 14 years ago —one of the hardest-working garbage scavengers and also one of the sweetest kids.
Jerick has been in the Project PEARLS Scholarship Program since preschool and he recently completed the electromechanics technology course at Dualtech Training Center Foundation Inc. Very soon, he will be taking his paid on the job training at Honda!
We are so proud of Jerick for rising above his circumstances and becoming so much more. And I am a very proud “mommy Melissa” to him!”
