Golden Age, Golden Care: Empowering Families and Caregivers in Geriatric Care
Third-year medical students from the University of Santo Tomas held an insightful seminar in Helping Land, Tondo, focused on essential geriatric care tips. Participants learned about the unique physical and psychological needs of the elderly, including:
- Safety tips to prevent falls
- Recognizing emergency signs
- Techniques for assisted movement
- Understanding early signs of dementia and Alzheimer’s
With these vital skills and knowledge, families and caregivers are now better equipped to provide safe and compassionate support for their elderly loved ones.
