Fifteen PEARLS scholars from the Tondo community took part in Decathlon Philippines’ 7th founding anniversary celebration. The day was packed with fun activities, mostly sports like table tennis, basketball, and soccer. The scholars were divided into different teams and competed against each other, testing their adaptability, motivation, and teamwork. In the end, everyone received awards, leaving them happy and motivated to continue their love for sports.
Darelle, a 16-year-old Grade 11 student, who shared her feedback on the event:
“Para sa akin, ang event ng Decathlon ay napakaganda dahil natuto akong maglaro ng iba’t ibang sports tulad ng soccer at table tennis. Dahil din dito, nakilala ko ang mga bagong kaibigan. Nag-enjoy ako sa event na ito.”
(“For me, the Decathlon event was wonderful because I learned to play different sports like soccer and table tennis. I also made new friends because of this event. I really enjoyed it.”)
