We feel just as proud as our scholar’s parents when we see their progress in the After School Program!
Nanay Gladys happily shared with us how the After School Program helped her child, Rafael, easily adjust to Kindergarten:
“‘Yung anak ko nakakatuwa sabi niya dati kapag umuwi s’ya galing ng school, ‘Mama si teacher namin gaya-gaya kay Teacher Grace.’ Kasi pala ‘yung itinuro ni Teacher Grace ay ‘yun din ang itinuro sa kanila. Kaya natawa ako kasi akala niya yung teacher nila sa Kinder ang nanggagaya. Malaki ang pinagbago ng anak ko simula nang umattend sa ASP. Minsan nagugulat na lang ako sa mga kwento niya kapag umuuwi ako. Naging active po s’ya, dati sa school nahihiya s’ya kapag pinapabasa pero ngayon hindi na.”
(“My child is amusing. He used to say when he came home from school, ‘Mama, our teacher is just copying Teacher Grace.’ It turns out that what Teacher Grace taught is the same as what their teacher taught them. So I laughed because he thought his kindergarten teacher was the one copying. My child has changed a lot since attending ASP. Sometimes I’m surprised by the stories he tells me when I come home. He has become active. Before, he used to be shy at school when asked to read, but now he isn’t anymore.”)
