Our PEARLS Brain Booster Kids created beautiful DIY kiping for the Pahiyas Festival in the communities of Naic, Tondo, and Bulacan. Crafting kiping for the Kiping Festival in the Philippines using colored paper and magazine cut-outs is a fun and engaging project. The Kiping Festival, a highlight of the Lucban Pahiyas Festival, features decorative and vibrant rice wafers called “kiping” that are used to adorn houses.
Testimony of Nanay Elena Q. Bignayan, mother of Mark Angelo B. Lorenzo, a 6-year-old who actively attended Brain Booster sessions. Nanay Elena expressed, “Hindi na po siya umiiyak kapag iniiwan at nagkaroon ng lakas ng loob na maipakita ang kanyang kakayahan, katulad ng pagkulay, pagsusulat, at lalo na ang makihalubilo sa ibang tao dahil dating mahiyain ang aking anak.”
