Project Pearls joins millions around the globe in celebrating the power of reading aloud with World Read Aloud Day® (WRAD) held annually on the first Wednesday of February! We are celebrating this special day with our partner, LitWorld.
LitWorld founded World Read Aloud Day® in 2010 to celebrate the power of reading aloud to create community and amplify new stories, and to advocate for literacy as a foundational human right.
Project PEARLS communities come together: scholars, children, parents, staff, and volunteers, to create a truly magical and overwhelming experience filled with happiness and gratitude. The sound of their collective voices echoes as they read aloud, parade, and even craft their own whimsical book hats, all reminding us of the power of community and the joy of reading and learning!
