Poverty and hunger continue to take their toll on many families in our communities, with the pandemic worsening their circumstances due to the lack of resources.
Many children and families in our communities only rely on our Hunger Relief Program to enable them to go by every day. One of our long-time sponsors, ADM, helped us provide over 500 hearty and healthy breakfast meals of pancit guisado with chicken, rice, fried tuna egg rolls, and bananas to children and families in Helping Land, Tondo this morning.
Kids also received children’s books from Tita Hapon. Thank you so much for your continuous support in our mission, ADM. Your kindness and generosity truly gave a glimpse of light and hope in our Tondo community.
We are also grateful to Century Pacific Food, Inc. for their donations of canned tuna that were used in today’s feeding; and to Tita Hapon for the educational books that will nurture the children’s reading habits.
