We are so happy to be back in our community in Botolan, Zambales after two years!
Last April 30, Project PEARLS team and our friends from The City Eats traveled 4 hours from Manila to be with the children and families of the Lakas Bihawo Aeta Tribe. We established a LitClub in this community and every Christmas, we bring Noche Buena packs and gifts for the kids and families. Due to the pandemic, we were not able to go to the community since 2020.
With the aid of the The City Eats, we served them meals of chicken adobo, rice, and sweet treats from the US. Kids were also given toys donated by G2 Fam of UAE. Clothes from TwiloPH and drinking cups from Ellen Go were also distributed to families. It was great to bond and share laughter with the children again!
