Our PEARLS Scholars had a math exam today!
Thank you so much to Brian Lim for sponsoring this day’s feeding! Thank you also for joining us with your friends today! Aside from filling the kids’ tummies, you were such a great help being volunteer-teachers!
Before test-time, our volunteer-teachers reviewed their scholar-students. Luckily for us, we have enough volunteer-teachers for specific grade-levels and books to use as guidance!
After the review, the scholars then took their math post-test. The purpose of this test is to see the learning progress of our scholars. They all took the same test in June 2018 as a pre-test.
This time around, our students scores have increased by 34%! Our volunteer-teachers’ efforts have made a positive impact on our kids!
Meanwhile, our non-scholar ‘pre-schoolers’ were busy creating coin banks!
Thanks Teacher Hilary for working with our pre-schoolers! She began her activity by reading a story to them.
