“Christmas! The very word brings joy to our hearts. No matter how we may dread the rush, the long Christmas lists for gifts and cards to be bought and given — when Christmas Day comes there is still the same warm feeling we had as children, the same warmth that enfolds our hearts and our homes.”
— Joan Winmill Brown
Thank you so much to the whole family and supportive friends of Michelle Concepcion-Reyes for the Christmas Party for 500 kids in Tondo, Manila! We also have some Bulacan Kids who joined this day’s party. It was held at the covered court of Barangay 105 in Tondo, Manila to accommodate our huge number of kids.
When everyone’s already settled, we finally started this blessed and fun day with a prayer.
After that, some of our LitClub Members and PEARLS’ Scholars prepared a Christmas dance presentation and they showed it to everyone confidently!
Surely all of us enjoyed watching it. Thank you, Scholars!
As the program proper was running, some volunteers were busy preparing the food.
Ms. Michelle Concepcion’ friends/family also lead a dance activity for the kids!
And then the children with their assigned volunteers had a coloring activity.
Feeding was then followed. Everyone was served with a yummy spaghetti!
After the feeding, kids enjoyed watching a Balloon Show and then Jollibee entered the scene making the kids happier!
Lastly, before the kids went home, the distribution of Christmas packs and gifts happened.
Definitely, everyone exited the covered court with smiles on their faces.
Thank you so much to everyone who made today’s possible and merry!
