Project Pearls Brain Booster
November 24, 2018 | Saturday
Brgy. 106, Tondo, Manila, Philippines
Today’s a special day not only for the kids but for all the volunteers whose heart and life have been touched by our dearest Raymund Dames.
Raymund or “Kuya Mon” to most has been a Project Pearls volunteer since its Founding Day which was more than eight years ago. Our everyday outreach serving the poor and children became his life since then.
Kuya Mon became everyone’s angel last November 12, 2018. We mourned but we celebrated his blessed life. Surely he will be missed and will never be forgotten.
This day was his birthday and we celebrated it as if he’s still with us.
Thank you so much for the warmest dedication to your found passion and purpose, Kuya Mon. We all so love you.
For this day’s brain booster, kids were taught how to make a crown through paper-folding or so called Origami. As we know, Origami is the art of paper folding, which is often associated with Japanese culture.
Thank you Ate Christine, our Brain Booster program coordinator, for teaching the kids!
After an hour, we had our own set of little kings and queens!
We also deeply thank the following for making this day more fun and blessed:
- Katsuki Lion’s Club for the feeding and for all the take home snacks for the kids!
- Adrian Soco from Singapore for the toys. Thank you also for joining us today!
- Ate Malex for the Ice Cream
- Miss January for the lovely and sweet cupcakes
And lastly but definitely not the least, thank you so much volunteers!
