Sunday
Helping Land, Tondo, Manila
This very special day that was going to be held at the courtyard of Helping Land started with the preparation and setting up of the whole place by the After School Program volunteer-teachers.
As early as past seven in the morning, volunteers were already so busy decorating.
After almost an hour, the courtyard then became a very colorful and festive place!
A big thanks to the creative minds of our volunteers! Keep up the good work, guys!
There will be (and always will) a lot of celebration coming up! *winks*
When they were done, a brief orientation was followed. In here, Jedda explained of what will be the program for today’s event.
400 kids then entered the courtyard.
After the short opening prayer is the sing and dance!
Feeding was the next activity.
There was also a line up for food held at the PEARLS clinic for the little kids with their moms.
Once again, thank you so much Bacolod Chicken Inasal for being the food sponsor just like the day before in Batia, Bulacan.
God bless you and may you will never get tired helping the poorest of the poor children in the Philippines.
Here’s now our entertainment portion!
For the first presenter, he was from our sponsor. Such a talented young boy!
The next set of presenter was the LitClub kids. They danced to the tune of, “Trumpets”.
This was followed by our ASP volunteers wherein they dance while imitating the Project Pearls founder and co-founders, Miss Melissa Villa, Sidney Snoeck and Kuya Juan (brother of Miss Melissa).
We had so much fun and you could feel it through our loud laughters.
They were so bubbly.
Nanay volunteers were the ones who’s next.
They danced while the smiles on their faces were permanently plastered as if they were enjoying the moment while it last. Thank you so much, Nanays! Such a good entertainers!
And then it was puppet show that was facilitated by our After School Program volunteers.
Kids were amazed once again. All of their attention were focused on our cute visitors. They were Tikboy, Tolits and Isay.
Our sponsors gave a take home snacks for the kids. Thank you so much for your never ending generosity and for joining us on our sixth anniversary.
