Helping Land Tondo
As the world celebrates Father’s day, we opted to make use of this week’s LitClub session to honor each member’s father.
We started this day with our Hello Song.
After saying our hellos through the Hello song, and knowing about each other’s first week in school through the check-in question, we continued with our read aloud with a poem entitled “What makes a dad”, telling us how the different qualities, like strength, patience, warmth and depth of love are mixed together to create a masterpiece called “Dad”.
Everybody, through a poem, expressed their gratitude to a father who is loving and hard-working. One put into words how she is missing the man she dearly loves, who is not of this world anymore.
I hope their fathers got to read how each one of them is proud of the man in their home they call ‘Tatay’, ‘Papa’, or ‘Dad’.
