Meet our 8 college scholars! They used to live (and work) in the slum community of Ulingan in Tondo, Manila. A community engulfed in toxic smoke from the charcoal pits.
These scholars didn’t even think that they can even finish high school. Most of them thought they will be stuck as charcoal factory workers.
They finished high school through our Scholarship Program and now we couldn’t be prouder that they are now in college with higher aspirations!
These college scholars are also mentors for our grade school scholars who are struggling in school.
