Meet Eulen Joy. She’s one of the hundreds of children who used to live in the slums of Ulingan at Tondo, Manila. A community engulfed in toxic smoke from the charcoal pits surrounding the area where children are covered in soot.
Three years ago, she wore the graduation cap of one of our kindergarten graduates and said she too wants to graduate!
Now, Eulen Joy is a Grade 2 PEARLS Scholar living in the relocation village in Bulacan with a cleaner environment and brighter future. Her dream to graduate from kinder turned into a dream to graduate college.
